Between the two... we all exist
It started with a children's show.
Truality originated from a simple realization that changed the way I saw people and our differences. It created a connection in me that has had such a profound effect on my life I felt it was only right to share it with the world
When my daughter was younger, we loved watching a show called "Blippi". I honestly think I loved it more than she did. After a while I noticed the main character changed.
This new Blippi wasn't the same, he didn't look the same, he didn't talk the same, he didn't even dance the same. I did not like the new Blippi, why was I so invested in a kid's show is beyond me but I wanted the old Blippi back.
I found an online forum filled with people who felt exactly the way I did. I thought "I've found my people", I felt heard, I felt understood. They started a petition to get the old Blippi back and I was ready to sign.
Until I kept reading and realized...
The Blippi they wanted back...was the Blippi I wanted gone.
In one moment, I went from believing we shared the same reality... to realizing we were on completely different sides.
That moment changed everything
I stopped looking at the surface of what people did or the things they said and started looking at the feeling behind it. We weren't fighting over Blippi. We were fighting to keep what felt familiar. The faces were different. The sides were different. But underneath... we all share the exact same feeling.
Reality is personal. Truth is deeper.
Once I saw it here, I started seeing it everywhere. Conversations became easier. Conflict became quieter. Understanding replaced the need to be right. It brought me peace.
The space between two opposing perspectives is often where truth reveals itself... Between the two, we exist
